The summary questions how the council arrived at the higher savings figure.
The document describes how the Olympic torch is lit without using any flames. Light rays from the sun reflect off a parabolic mirror and converge at a focal point, concentrating the light and generating enough heat energy at that point to cause the torch to burst into flames when placed there. The torch is lit using this principle of reflected and focused sunlight.

Bojan Milicevic successfully completed a practical internship with the Group of European Youth for Change (GEYC) from May to August 2015. 1. QA Business School Student Carries Olympic torch
Student Suresh Koralage (34) from Hounslow was given a once-in-a-lifetime experience when he was
selected to carry the Olympic torch during the final leg of its 8000-mile, 70 day journey around the
UK.
Suresh began studying for an MSC in International Business at QA Business School’s London campus
in January 2012, and to support his business studies also worked part-time at a local supermarket.
A model employee, his colleagues at the supermarket nominated him as an Olympic torch bearer in
recognition of his continued hard work and commitment.
His was picked out from thousands of other nominations and, on the 19th July, Suresh was cheered
on by thousands of well-wishers as he carried the flame through the streets of Faversham in Kent,
before the torch began its final journey to London for the Olympic ceremony.
Karen Cain, managing director of QA Business School, said: “We’re thrilled that one of our students
was picked out for the honour of carrying the Olympic flame.
“All the staff here, especially Suresh’s tutors, would like to congratulate him and we wish organisers
and competitors the best of luck for the 2012 London Olympic Games.”
For more information about QA's new industry relevant degrees at the QA Business School, I’d like
