This document provides instructions for three activities analyzing human responses to challenges in contemporary societies. Students are asked to analyze a photo, identify issues it depicts, and discuss if they still occur and why. For the second activity, students must write the causes and effects of given issues. The third activity asks students to brainstorm approaches and responses within a circle to help deal with emerging issues.
