The students Willow, Jeremy, Mariah, and Joe conducted a project on jumping beans. They studied how the beans move in strange, jerky motions seemingly on their own. Their research found that the beans contain the larva of a moth which causes the bean pod to jump, allowing the larva inside to spread its seed far and wide.
