This document provides directions and information for attendees of an event at Purdue University. It includes directions for driving to campus, things to bring, the check-in process, important places on campus like residence halls and dining courts, food service policies, emergency procedures, and time zone information. Attendees are advised to bring comfortable shoes as the campus is large and residence halls can be a long walk from meeting locations.

2. Driving Directions All people should come in on Rt 26 from I-65 This leads directly to campus through a well-lit town and requires no turns or confusion If you follow these directions you will come onto the Purdue map at the bottom right hand corner of the campus map.

3. Purdue is a large campus Bring comfortable shoes. Residence halls are a long walk from Elliott Hall. Please be prepared to walk 10-15 minutes between destinations.

4. What to bring Comfortable shoes Umbrella--it rains in the summer in the mid-west Sweater or jacket for Elliott Hall Photo ID for check-in Health insurance card (Purdue requirement)

5. Check-in process Check-in will occur in your residence hall Most of west coast is in Cary Quad Some in Meredith MBF/HBF in Wiley/Tarkington Check-in with UBF Check in with Purdue Each person must check in on their own

6. Late Check-in Late check in will be in the Armory after the first meeting Office will be closed during meeting times If you come between 7-9, go directly to Elliott Hall Check-in after meeting

7. HBF/MBF Check-in Will be done through chaperones Each HBF/MBF will be assigned a chaperone Each chaperone will be in charge of 10 youth Youth must wait for chaperone Probably after 2pm

8. Important Items During check-in you will receive: Room key Name tag--also serves as meal ticket Do not lose these items There will be a $25 fee for an unreturned key There will be a replacement charge for lost meal ticket

19. Dining Courts Ford--most of us, 2nd shift Meredith HBF (1st shift) MBF (2nd shift) Like a real food court--many choices All you can eat in 45 min. You MUST bring your meal card (name tag) You can only eat in your assigned shift

20. Food service May take out Piece of fruit Ice cream Piece of pizza Cup of coffee in disposable cup May NOT get coffee from dining court outside of meal times There is a Starbucks in the PMU

21. Warning Sirens Outdoor warning siren: Go into the nearest building immediately. Do not leave until told to do so Probably for a tornado, so stay away from windows (e.g. inside hallway) Indoor warning siren: Go outside immediately and move away from the building

22. Time Purdue is on Eastern Daylight Time That’s 3 hours later than CA 1 hour later than Chicago
