This document proposes a concept called "Project RE-DESIGN" which involves taking used donated clothing, cutting and resewing them into new fashionable designs to be sold. This helps address some issues with the current system where tons of used clothes are shipped overseas or end up in landfills. By redesigning used clothes locally and selling them, it could help create jobs, reduce waste and pollution from the textile industry, and keep more resources in circulation for future generations. The proposal envisions boutique stores selling these redesigned fashions along with education programs to teach others this approach.
