- #3 Title of article, ‘Are you ready for virtual taste?’ -does the world have a need for this technology -what does this virtual taste entail -how can we put it into practice
- #4 -taste is big part of human’s lives -it evokes emotion, satisfies desires and is expressive -Dr. Nimesha, a research fellow at National University of Singapore says that there’s a way to enjoy ‘taste’ through a digital gadget
- #5 -why choose a digital method as opposed to chemical? -chemicals are unrealistic bc they’re difficult to store and manipulate -Digital is the way to go… -by actuating the tongue through electrical and thermal stimulations, one can create different tastes Technology: -Digital taste interface (control system) 2 parts - Control module- formulate different electrical and thermal stimuli -tongue interface- two silver electrodes worn on tongue
