The chic jewelry design concept is inspired by the
Gumamela (Hibiscus Syriacus) flower, in stylized
design in silver with gold anthers. The stylized
stem and leaves-cut out are in silver. The necklace
is in fine chains in gold. The red hibiscus is the
flower of Kali, the Hindu goddess associated with
empowerment or shakti.
In the Philippines the Gumamela symbolizes youth,
reminding Filipinos with the care-free childhood
bubble-making pastime. These are incorporated in
the chic design concept with the simple, youthful,
yet elegant design of the Gumamela that would
mirror the empowerment of today’s Filipina
working woman.
