This document provides examples of primary and secondary sources related to the Titanic disaster and asks the reader to identify each as primary or secondary. It includes books, magazine articles, sheet music, newspaper articles, and historical accounts that are identified as either derived from original research and eyewitness accounts (primary) or describing or analyzing events after the fact based on primary sources (secondary). One source is identified as both primary and secondary because it includes original survivor interviews as well as analysis and reconstruction of the event.
