Prima Fluorspar Corp. owns 100% of claims covering 22,500 hectares containing a historic fluorspar resource of 3.2 million tonnes averaging 32% fluorspar. The property has a 30 km strike length and mineralization at surface. Historic metallurgical testing showed 97% calcium fluoride content. Prima plans ground geophysics and near surface drilling in 2013 to define the resource. Fluorspar demand is rising in China and it is projected to become a net importer, while there are no fluorspar mines currently operating in Canada or the United States.
