1. PRICE DOLLAR 2010
During 2010 the dollar has presented a decrease, this may be favorable to some participants
in the economy, but for others not so.
The year 2010 started with a dollar was trading at 2,013 pesos. On Friday, the dollar closed
at 1,900 pesos, below 113 pesos compared to the beginning of the year.
The cheap dollar is severe for exporters because their income is reduced, because when they
sell their products abroad and bring those dollars into the country, when converted into
dollars, receive less pesos to the dollar, causing an out of position on their balance sheets
because whatever the price of the dollar, as fixed and variable costs continue to rise. On the
other hand importers enjoy a cheap dollar because can to buy more dollars for fewer pesos.
