HALLOWEEN IS COMING TO LA GRANGE OCTOBER 21-31 2016!
Make no bones about, La Grange is showing plenty of spirit this month when over 20 friendly,
life-sized skeletons lounge in front of local businesses beginning Oct. 21 as part of a
Halloween celebration organized by the La Grange Business Association called Skeletober.
Each skeleton is sponsored by a local business and has a specific theme, like Cubs Fan or
_____. The skeleton display is a kick off to the Halloween Walk, a tradition in the Village, and
Halloween Hunt involving participating merchants on Saturday, October 29.
The Halloween Walk is a trick or treat parade for kids that begins at Cossitt School
Playground led by the Greater La Grange YMCA. Line-up starts at 9:30am and the walk is
10am - noon. Later in the day, have fun with pumpkin bowling, kids crafts and plenty of fun
with a Halloween Hunt to local businesses.
Don't forget to post your picture with one of our boney friends and you might win a
prize.#skeletoberinlagrange.
Saturday, October 29th:
Kids Trick or Treat Parade - 10 am - noon. The Greater La Grange YMCA Will lead a parade of
trick or treaters to your door - fill their sack with a treat, bounce back coupon or store flyer. If
you don’t have a business on the route, bring us your coupon and special treat ahead of time
so we’ll make sure it gets inserted in goodie bags at the line up at Cossitt School.
Halloween Hunt - noon - 5pm. It’s a hunt and find search around town! Each child will receive a
“passport” for the Halloween Hunt when they line-up to trick or treat. Stores will hide a special
item in the store for children to come and find and cross off their passport. When the child’s
passport is complete, head over to Anderson’s Bookstore for a chance to win a donated prize.
We’ll list your store on the map; why not plan your own Halloween themed activities and offers
in-store to encourage customer visits until 5 pm?
Friday, October 21 - Sunday, October 31
