Franklin D. Roosevelt had three vice presidents during his four terms as president from 1933 to 1945 due to two vice presidents dying in office and him selecting a new vice president for his fourth term. He contracted polio in 1921 which left him paralyzed from the waist down and he overcame this disability to serve as president longer than any other president.
