ELRN 750 Teaching and Learning With Digital
Technology-Francom
Learning outcome:
Students will be able to
identify and compare
different cultures and
countries.
 Students will be grouped by Kagen structure desk
groups. (groups of 2)
 Low students will be paired with high students and
middle with middle students.
 This will give students the opportunity to work with
people that may have different qualities. Group
members may excel at things they do not such as
spelling, typing, or their artistic abilities.
GROUPS
At the end of the project students
will create a persuasive poster
using popplet.com.
The poster will be persuading
others to visit a specific country.

Technologies
 Students will have to look at 3 different countries they would
like to visit (over 3 different class periods.) Within their
groups they need to agree on one country that they would
like to visit and persuade others to visit this country.
 As a class the students and I will create a rubric for the project.
(Using http:// poplet.com . Using the site will help familiarize the
students with the site before they create their own posters.)
 Possible Rubric Items: history, religions, art, language, climate,
topography of the region
Project
 Students will help create the rubrics that will be used to assess the
final project. When rubric is completed it will be gone over with the
class.
 Students will be assessed on participation with a 1-5 point scale
(every class) both by their partner and also the teacher. Both grades
will be averaged. Teacher’s grade will be based on observation.
 For the assessment of the final project I will have each student in the
class fill out a rubric for each group that is presenting. The students
presenting will fill out a rubric with their partner in mind.
 This will help students understand how rubrics work and how important
they are to follow.
