The document discusses feedback received on a student's music video project. It provides survey results showing that most viewers correctly identified the genre as indie/rock, found the performance and narrative clear, and thought the video met conventions of a real indie music video. However, some felt the performance could be improved and a minority did not find the video interesting. Most respondents said the fictional band would appeal to them and rated the overall performance as good or very good. The majority also said they would like the video if they saw it on a music channel and preferred the narrative aspects.
The document appears to be an audience questionnaire for a music video. Based on the responses, most respondents felt the music video fit the genre, the characters were portrayed well, they liked the music video, and the narrative flowed. For the digipak design, respondents liked that it incorporated different parts of the video and felt the mood matched that of the video. The most common emotions felt while watching included sadness, anger, confusion and being drawn into the main character's world.

The document discusses audience feedback received for a music video. Feedback was gathered through social media, questionnaires, and from friends. Most people liked the video overall but felt it could benefit from faster cuts and more camera shots. Feedback also showed that while the video fit well with the song, no one was interested in purchasing the track. Feedback on a CD cover suggested adding more effects, which was then applied to improve a magazine advert. The document concludes that audience feedback provided valuable insights on how to better entertain the target audience.
The questionnaire results showed that the audience understood and enjoyed most aspects of the music video, such as the scenes, narrative, camera work, lighting, editing, and visuals matching the lyrics. The black and white color scheme and opening titles were also largely viewed as conventional. Most importantly, no audience members suggested any changes to the music video, indicating the group successfully represented the depressive theme.
From feedback received from their target audience, the group learned:
- The performer and location stood out most in the music video.
- The mise-en-scene, outfits, and props fit well with the genre of the song.
- Audience responses were mixed on how well the song and video accompanied each other.

After producing a music video, CD covers, and advert for a hip-hop project, the creator conducted focus groups of 16-25 year olds for feedback. Most participants liked the video but felt it lacked typical hip-hop elements like many attractive women and flashy material displays. While most understood the message, some found the narrative confusing. Most said they would watch it again on channels like MTV and SMASH HITS. Feedback on the CD cover was mixed, but most liked the advert and said it would persuade them to buy the album. The creator learned that audiences expect certain conventions in music videos and straying from them can hurt how the product is received.

The production of a music video involves three main stages: pre-production where the production company is chosen and plans are made, production where filming takes place over many takes, and post-production where the video is edited together, animated if needed, and distributed. Music videos are made primarily to promote the artist and song, gaining popularity and profits through increased sales and views. Famous directors like Jonas Akerlund and David Fincher make popular, high-budget videos through unique styles and large budgets that allow for promotion of well-known artists.

1. Music Video
Whilst conducting this project when editing I
had asked from numerous feedback from
students and teachers along the way we had
gotten feedback from teachers and students to
watch our music video to see if there is
corrections that we still need to make during
this, we did receive some constructive criticism
about the performances that the pace of the
editing was to slow for the parts of the music
video and that the lip-sync was a bit off , So
when we realised that we didn't have enough
shots in the scenes to work with, so we had
gone to re-shoot some other scenes so when
editing we had worked with a more variety of
shots this enabled us to have a diverse
range, so when finishing all this we had
uploaded on social media site such as Twitter
we had got various feedback from different
audience, we had received positive feedback
from this.
2. Digipack
When conducting my Digipack I had performed a step by step tutorial of the individual
sides and how it would look so when doing this I had gain constructive criticism of
what are the good points and what could I do better when conducting this. When
gaining the feedback I would go back and make the alterations needed and see what
suited my theme and concept once doing these things for example when gaining
feedback one of the problems I had was the type of software I had used where I
originally used in fireworks where my peers had told me that this didn't have a
professional look about it, so when changing it to Photoshop this gave me a more
professional look to my digipack where I had edited pictures together dropping the
shadow levels contrasting the pictures to give it a rougher edge broadening the artist
appearance. Also on my inside covers where I had created post cards with signatures of
each individual band member this gave it that innovative look so when getting
feedback on this I had gained good constructive advice for being unique and
unconventional to genre I had studied, for the inside cover to of the CD placement I
had the image of the band then was advised to play around with the image
manipulating it by contrasting and putting a stamp effect in the background when
doing this, my peers had given me advice that they did not know the concept of what
will fill the background and still did not look effective, so I had put the original picture
of the band in the background and received good comments on it.
3. On the back I had put a similar effect on the picture which I was advised by my peers to
follow the continuity throughout the Digipack, where I had put a picture of the band and
because they had liked it in its original format I Slightly dropped the contrast on the
background to make the artists stand out more also the lyrics which were in red stood out
much more because of this.
Once Finishing my product I had asked many people of my target audience what they
thought about it and gathered their constructive criticism of what could be improved and
their general thoughts this would allow me to know if I had met the general conventions if
the Indie/Rock Digipack and their reaction which would allow me to know if it would sell
in shops.
I have also received feedback of my initial designs which I wanted on my Digipack

conveyed to the audience as they had understood the performance and narrative
and based on graph 2 about 10% thought we didn't meet the conventions of music

qualitative results we had collected because we have collected a large sample size this

overall music
video when
watching it?
Based on this evidence from graph1 I can see that everyone is pleased with the music
this is positive feedback as I know that people were pleasure that it looks like a real life
music video and that it met the consumer needs when watching this that it met their
preference that they enjoyed the video. However in graph 2 it shows me that a majority
of people would like it on a music video about 90% and 10% didn’t so this still shows
me that a variety of people will watch my music video and watch it.

10) What Performance Narrative Both
aspects of the
music video did
you like?
Based on these results judging from this graph that a majority of people liked different
aspects of the music video, but mainly the narrative part even though that this is an
indie video most of it was portrayed through the narrative snippets and this was
understood clearly by the audience and they have clearly liked it based on the feedback I
have received.
