2. Resultant Force-A force which produce a combined effect of no. of
forces which are acting on a body or a plane.
•Suppose we take an example – If a no. of forces A,B,C,D are acting
simultaneously on a body , it is possible to find out a single force
which could replace them, this single force is called Resultant
Force.
•It is denoted by “R”.

Equilibrant Force- It is equal in magnitude,
opposite in direction and collinear with
resultant force acting on a body. It is
denoted by “E”.
