Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts
The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).
AI Trends in Creative Operations 2024 by Artwork Flow.pdfmarketingartwork
Creative operations teams expect increased AI use in 2024. Currently, over half of tasks are not AI-enabled, but this is expected to decrease in the coming year. ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool currently. Business leaders are more actively exploring AI benefits than individual contributors. Most respondents do not believe AI will impact workforce size in 2024. However, some inhibitions still exist around AI accuracy and lack of understanding. Creatives primarily want to use AI to save time on mundane tasks and boost productivity.
Organizational culture includes values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits that influence employee behaviors and how people interpret those behaviors. It is important because culture can help or hinder a company's success. Some key aspects of Netflix's culture that help it achieve results include hiring smartly so every position has stars, focusing on attitude over just aptitude, and having a strict policy against peacocks, whiners, and jerks.

Google's Just Not That Into You: Understanding Core Updates & Search IntentLily Ray
1. Core updates from Google periodically change how its algorithms assess and rank websites and pages. This can impact rankings through shifts in user intent, site quality issues being caught up to, world events influencing queries, and overhauls to search like the E-A-T framework.
2. There are many possible user intents beyond just transactional, navigational and informational. Identifying intent shifts is important during core updates. Sites may need to optimize for new intents through different content types and sections.
3. Responding effectively to core updates requires analyzing "before and after" data to understand changes, identifying new intents or page types, and ensuring content matches appropriate intents across video, images, knowledge graphs and more.

petog agregata.

1. UVOD
Osnovnim projektom energetskog iskorišćenja
srednjeg dela reke Drine (od Višegrada do Zvornika)
bila je predviđena izgradnja pet velikih hidroelektrana.
Hidroelektrana kod Zvornika je imala najveće pred-
nosti i ona je prva izgrađena. Pripremni radovi za po-
četak gradnje Hidroelektrane “Zvornik“ otpočeli su
krajem 1947. godine, a punim obimom su krenuli
1950. godine.
do 1958. godine [1].
2. OPIS LOKACIJE NA KOJOJ SE IZVODI
PROJEKAT
nadmorske visine. Mali Zvornik je smešten u srednjem

Podrinju, na obroncima planine Boranje. Geografski
položaj gradskog naselja je +44°23'43’’ severne geo-
grafske širine i +19°06'57’’ istočne geografske dužine.
visine, a kroz njega protiču Đukanovića potok, Buče-
vski potok i Moštanica.
njenog ušća u reku Savu, u zapadnom delu Republike
Srbije. Hidroelektrana pregrađuje reku Drinu na oko 1
km uzvodno od Malog Zvornika u Srbiji i Zvornika u
Bosni i Hercegovini (slika 1).

hidroelektrane iznosi 2 ha, 71 ar i 14 m2
, a od toga je
pod objektima 1 ha, 44 ara i 26 m2
. Zemljište na kome
je reka Drina zauzima 14 ari i 88 m2, a ostalo veštački
stvoreno neplodno zemljište zauzima 1 ha i 12 ari.
3. PRETHODNI RADOVI NA IZVOĐENJU
PROJEKTA
Hidroelektrana “Zvornik“ je u pogonu više od 50
godina, i uz redovno održavanje i korišćenje ona je u
ovom periodu dala odgovarajući doprinos elektro-ene-
rgetskom sistemu Srbije. Međutim, specifična društve-
na i ekonomska situacija u vreme građenja i nabavke
opreme, kao i kasnija izgradnja većih i značajnijih
objekata, a verovatno i nedostatak sredstava za izgra-
dnju ostalih planiranih objekata u tom delu reke Drine,
eksploatacije:
planirano prokopavanje korita reke Drine nizvo-
dno od elektrane i uređenje obala nije sprovedeno
do kraja;
sadašnjih 157,5 m; međutim, otkupi zemljišta i
nije došlo do podizanja sadašnje kote normalnog
uspora sa 157,50 m na kotu 158,00 m;
livanja vode preko brane.
matranje njene revitalizacije i modernizacije. Manji
obim ovih aktivnosti obavilo je osoblje hidroelektrane
sa sredstvima kojim je elektrana raspolagala, ali
revitalizacija i modernizacija glavne opreme nije
Ocenom stanja opreme i objekata hidroelektrane,
koju je 1997. godine uradila Stručna grupa EPS-a, a
zatim Studijom o mogućnosti povećanja snage i pro-
Studija modernizacije i mogućnosti povećanja snage i
novim. U Studiji je urađena analiza stabilnosti brane i
data su moguća tehnička rešenja [1].
Stručni savet EPS-a je na sednici održanoj 2002.
godine razmotrio pomenutu Studiju i zaključio da se
pri izradi Idejnog projekta i Studije opravdanosti uvaže
sledeće konstatacije:
prokopavanje korita i snižavanje kote donje vode
treba da čeka revitalizaciju opreme;
rnik usvojiti kotu 158,00 m;
projektu, odredi posle ispitivanja stanja generato-
ra;
Krajem 2002. godine formirana je Stručna grupa
EPS-a za ocenu stanja generatora i određivanja vari-
jante njihove revitalizacije i modernizacije.

Uvažavajući konstatacije Stručnog saveta EPS-a i
okolnosti:
da nivo gornje vode u akumulaciji treba da ostane
157,30 m;
2004. godine;
bina;
“Višegrad“, koji iznosi Qin = 800 m³/s;
obaviće se rekonstrukcija sa zamenom vitalnih de-
lova Kaplan turbine sa povećanjem prečnika rad-
nog kola sa sadašnjih D = 4,65 m na D = 4,90 m
uz povećanje stepena korisnosti turbine, protoka i
MW (pri radu sva četiri agregata);
pri radu samo 1 agregata;
posebnih preduzeća “Elektroprivreda Srbije“ i
“Elektromreža Srbije“, što u slučaju Hidroelek-
trane “Zvornik“ zahteva razdvajanje postojećeg
110 kV razvodnog postrojenja i izgradnju nove
komande za potrebe same hidroelektrane.
Nominalnu snagu od Pt,n = 31.360 kW turbina će
proizvoditi kada budu radila sva četiri agregata sa in-
stalisanim protokom od Qi =170 m3/s, odnosno kada
protok elektrane bude Qtot = 680 m3
/s, kota donje vode
20,22 m. Prema dosijeu brane Hidroelektrane “Zvor-
nik“, sledeći nivoi vode se mogu pojaviti u toku eks-
ploatacije elektrane: minimalna donja voda - 134,00 m.
i maksimalna donja voda - 146,50 m.
Idejni projekat revitalizacije i modernizacije opreme i
Studija opravdanosti hidroelektrane koji su obuhvatili
i razmotrili sve zahteve iz Projektnog zadatka. U toku
2007. godine urađena je Studija opravdanosti rekon-
strukcije sa dogradnjom u cilju produženja radnog
veka hidroelektrane. Opravdanost realizacije usvojene
alternative rekonstrukcije sa dogradnjom potvrđena je
i u okviru finansijske analize. U toku 2007. godine
elektrane i Urbanističkog projekta u funkciji sprovo-
đenja planskog dokumenta u okviru kojeg bi bili
obezbeđeni i svi relevantni infrastrukturni, kao i ostali
uslovi potrebni i propisani posebnim propisima za ovu
vrstu objekata, odnosno radova. Plan opšteg uređenja
seoskog naselja Sakar je usvojen u martu 2008. godine
[1].
4. OPIS OBJEKATA I PLANIRANOG
PROIZVODNOG PROCESA
Hidroelektrana “Zvornik“ je pribransko-protočno
postrojenje, korisne zapremine akumulacije 20,9 x 106
m3
nanosa i viška vode.

novije vreme, podizanjem gornjeg nivoa vode i pro-

sve do ušća Velike reke.

postojećeg, i naravno, veće povećanje protoka, snage i
ugradnja novog radnog kola turbina prečnika D = 4,90
turbinske regulacije i većeg dela pomoćne mašinske
opreme agregata i elektrane. Planirana je fazna rekon-
strukcija agregata.
[1].
Godišnji plan proizvodnje struje je 452 miliona
kWh i taj plan se uglavnom ostvaruje, a nekada se
očekivana proizvodnja i prebacuje, zavisno od hidro-
loških uslova. Hidroelektrana tokom leta proizvodi 10
MWh struje i sa tom proizvodnjom snabdeva elektri-
čnom energijom čitavo područje Malog Zvornika do
Loznice. U periodu velikih voda proizvodnja iznosi
96-100 MWh [6].

rezervoara “Glušćevići“ i “Ristići“.
zid, a zatim ispod spuštenog plafona polietilenskim
cevima se voda dovodi do svakog sanitarnog uređaja
[1].
Kanalizaciona mreža u zgradi aneksa (i unutrašnja
vodovoda i kanalizacije, dovod hidrantske mreže do
Potre-
ravnjačom i libelom. Prohodnost kanala se proverava
propuštanjem plastičnih kugli odgovarajućeg prečnika,
koje se puštaju kroz horizontalni i vertikalni
kanalizacioni razvod.
6. ZAKLJUČAK
Prikazanim planiranim aktivnostima na rekonstru-
kciji hidroelektrane, zamenom vitalnih delova turbine
sa povećanjem prečnika uz povećanje stepena kori-
snosti, protoka i snage, kao i zamenom generatora
novim generatorom veće snage sa pobudom i svim
potrebnim pomoćnim uređajima, obezbediće se pouz-
dan rad hidroelektrane i produžiti radni vek za nare-
dnih 40 godina, uz stvaranje mogućnosti za naknadnu
ugradnju dodatnog petog agregata.

SUMMARY
PRESENTATION PLAN OF THE RECONSTRUCTION AND UPGRADE HYDROELECTRIC
POWER PLANT “ZVORNIK“
By the basic project of the energy utilization of the middle part of the river Drina (from Višegrad to
Zvornik) building of five large hydroelectric power plants was planned. Hydroelectric power plant near
Zvornik had the greatest advantage, and it is the first built. Hydroelectric power plant "Zvornik"
separates the river Drina, about 1 km upstream from Mali Zvornik in Serbia and Zvornik in Bosnia and
Herzegovina. In order to extend the work life, by the urban development project was planned
modernization of production aggregates and associated equipment, the upgrade of annexes above the
aggregate siphons A1 and A2, as well as the upgrade of the annexes of the powerhouse on the right bank
of the river in the function of accommodation of electrical equipment. By replacing of the vital parts of
turbines with increasing diameter with an increase of efficiency, flow and power, as well as replacing
generators with new generator of higher power with excitation and all the necessary auxiliary
equipment, will ensure reliable operation of the hydroelectric power plant and will extend the working
life of the next 40 years, creating opportunities for retrofitting additional fifth unit.
