Seven students from Seaman High School received recognition at the 2021 Regional Scholastic Art Show in Wichita for their artistic works. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is a prestigious, nationwide competition that recognizes originality, technical skill, and emerging personal styles in student visual and written works. At the show, Seaman High School had 11 total pieces selected, with some students receiving Honorable Mentions, Silver Keys, Gold Keys, and one was nominated for Best of Show. Ten students from Washburn Rural High School received recognition at the 2022 Regional Scholastic Art Show in Wichita for their creative works. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is a prestigious, nationwide competition that recognizes original student works demonstrating technical skills and personal expression. Washburn Rural High School had 21 total works selected, with several students receiving Honorable Mentions, Silver Keys, Gold Keys, and one was nominated for Best of Show at the American Visions level for her painting. The awarded works will be exhibited at Mark Arts from February to March, with an awards ceremony on March 26th.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the nation's longest-running, most prestigious educational initiative supporting student achievement in the visual and literary arts. Seaman High School had 12 works selected this year. Silver and Gold Key works will be exhibited at Mark Arts from Friday, February 7 through Saturday, March 28. Gold Key recipients will be honored at the award ceremony held at the Mark Arts in Wichita on Saturday, March 28. Honorable Mention recipients will receive certificates during the opening of the exhibition on February 7.
Northern Light: 40 years of Creative Writing @ Interlochen
This event will feature notable creative writing alumni as well as current students, the performance will celebrate the many award-winning guest writers that have visited Interlochen Center for the Arts over the years as well as look to the future of writing as an art form.
My Story As a Potter
