Pakistan gained independence but faced many challenges in establishing a new state, including setting up a new administration, dividing military and financial assets with India, integrating princely states like Junagadh and Hyderabad, and dealing with issues in Kashmir. Additionally, Pakistan had to address communal riots, the arrival of refugees, trade problems, and sharing of canal water resources, all while beginning independent life under difficult circumstances.
