This document describes a project to create a database system to store customer information for a mobile company. The system allows users to add, view, search, delete, and update customer records by unique SIM ID. Functions are defined to validate data and perform the different operations. The project aims to simplify storing and accessing customer details. Key information stored includes name, address, phone number, and connection type.

3. MOBILINK CUSTOMER DATABASE PROJECT
AIM OF PROJECT
This is a small scale project for mobilink
customer database .The basic Idea is that the
mobilink database maintains the details about
the customers unique sim ID, their name,
address, phone number, connection type. In
this project you can keep record of all details
about mobilink customers.

8. INTRODUCTION

9. The mobilink customer database system aims to make simpler database of a
customer and ease the process of acquiring informations. The details of a customer
can be accessed by entering the unique sim ID.
The mobilink database keeps certain informations as follows.
Initial
 Sim ID
 Name
 Address
 Phone Number
 Connection Type
When any customer will create an ID, the database will keep the above fields in
their initial data records.
 Unique sim ID
 Name of the customer
 Address of the customer
 Phone number of the customer
 Connection type of the customer

10. While inputting the data records the following validation will
check.
o Equal sim IDs are not allowed
o Connection types to choose from two given types
o Phone number must be of 11 digits
o Address should not exceed 61 characters
o Name should not exceed 30 characters
Write a menu driven program for making a database customers
displaying following menu options :-
1. Enter record
2. View record
3. Search record
4. Delete record
5. Change name
6. Change address
7. Change phone number
8. Change connection type
9. Exit

11. This is a project based on C language by using many user-defined
functions such as
Void add() ;
This function is use for adding data to the record,which data will
be added it depend upon the variable we have used.
Void view() ;
The function help in to view all the records which was already
enter into the record.
Void search() ;
The function is used for searching about a customer by simply search
by his unique sim ID. By the unique sim ID you can find about a
perticular customer.

12. Void c_name() ;
In order to change the name of a customer this function is used.for
change the name of a customer you have to search him by his unique
sim ID then you can change the name by providing new one.
Void c_add() ;
In order to change the address of a customer this function is used.for
change the address of a customer you have to search him by his
unique sim ID then you can change the address by providing new one.
Void c_ct() ;
In order to change the connection type of a customer this function is
used.for change the connection type of a customer you have to search
him by his unique sim ID then you can change the connection type by
choosing from two options.

13. Void c_ph() ;
The function is used for change the phone number of a customer. for
change the phone number of a customer you have to search him by his
unique sim ID then you can change the phone number by providing
new one.
Void del() ;
Del function is used to delete a record of a customer.you can delete
details about a customer by 1st searching his ID and then by pressing
any key you can delete the ID.
In this project many validation functions are also used, they are like
Void check_id(…) ;
This function checks the length and validity of the users sim ID. Sim
ID should not exceed 4 digits and should contain only numeric value.

14. Void check_name(…) ;
It checks the length and validity of users name. Name should only
contain character value and should not exceed 30 characters.
Void check_add(…) ;
It checks the lenth and validity of address. Address value should not
exceed 61 characters and can contain character, numerics and comma
(,) .
Void check_phone(…) ;
It checks the lenth and validity of given phone number by user. Phone
number should be of 11 numerical values.
Void check_ct(…) ;
It checks the connection type of an user. Connection type is selected
from two pre-defined types.

15. ABOUT THE PROJECT
This programme is capable of holding any
number of customer details.In first option you
can give details about a customer by giving an
unique sim ID, name, address, phone number
and connection type of that person. In second
option you can view about the customers.
Through third opton you can search about the
customer by their unique sim ID. In 4th option
you can delete details of a customer by entering
his unique sim ID. Through 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th
you can change name, address, phone number
and connection type of a person by entering his
