Introduction
Some authors consider that translation
is not in condition of being named as
an exact science, due to subjectivity of
each translator.
 Therefore to provide higher levels in
quality and efficiency in modern
translations, it is necessary to
generate or locate the proper tools.
 This thesis proposes the use of an
online software (CAT) for technical
translation.

What is translation?

Translate means give a voice to the
silenced speech, is communicate to the
separate people through the language.
History of translation


One historic data is the existence of a
couple of mud bars, better knew as
“clay tablets”

Translation
is sometimes called machine-assisted,
or machine-aided, translation.
 Computer-assisted translation (CAT)
incorporates that manual editing stage
into the software, making translation
an interactive process between human
and computer

Problematic Plan

Do students focus in the dictionary at
the moment of translation?
 Do web translators confused the
students?

Justify
Tests made on 1999 report that only
15% of translators use CAT.
 In this thesis we noticed technology
help the translation exercise.
 The students agreed that web help a
lot the translation.


Assisted translation by a vocabulary
bank in Mexico can help translation.
General Objective



Introduce useful tools for students
close to concluding their translation
degree.

- Describe how to create a blog

- Investigate which universities in
Mexico City have translation degree.



-Investigate if there are enough
dictionaries for help translation
Look for if these universities have a
vocabulary bank
 Make a list of the most popular
vocabulary.
 Create a vocabulary bank on internet.
