Jesus, the Messiah and Son of God, was born to a poor family in a stable in Bethlehem. The Church celebrates his birth from December 25th through the feast of his Baptism, rejoicing that God became man to save humanity. Catholics are filled with joy at Christmas to commemorate the arrival of the Messiah and should spread the good news of his birth as the shepherds did.

4. The Christmas Liturgy sings the glory of the night when the angels appeared to the shepherds in the region of Bethlehem and proclaimed the good news that the Messiah is born.

5. The Son of God became man to win our salvation. As Catholics, we are filled with joy to celebrate the arrival of the Messiah. We must go forth to spread the good news just as the shepherds did.
