The document summarizes a proposal for a new tri-campus laboratory safety manual for the University of Toronto. The current manuals for the St. George, Scarborough, and Mississauga campuses are out of date, difficult to navigate, and separate documents. The proposed new manual would contain all necessary safety information for the three campuses in one concise document that is updated regularly. It would use a combination of tables, graphics, videos and text to engage users and clearly present the information in an understandable, easy-to-use format. The design aims to improve understanding, accessibility and usability of the safety information for laboratory users across all three campuses.
