Definition:
A preposition of place is a preposition which is used to refer to a
place where something or someone is located.
Examples:
 We spent a quiet evening at home.
 I’m growing tomatoes in my garden.
 Please place the bouquet on the table.

A preposition of time is a preposition that allows you to discuss a specific
time period such as a date on the calendar, one of the days of the week,
or the actual time something takes place.
Examples:
 I always wake up at 7am.
 It's his birthday on Sunday.
 The weather in spring is beautiful.
 I've been living in Brighton since January.

Prepositions of direction indicate the location of a noun (a person,
place, or thing) in relation to another noun.
Examples:
 The milk is above the soda in the refrigerator
 My friend lives across the street from me.
 The ducks are eating along the river.

Prepositions of spatial relationships deal with "where" the subject of
the sentence is or "where" the action is taking place.
Examples:
