Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

GENERAL OBSERVATIONS
CUTTING AND BORING:
Precise cutting is essential in order to prevent detachment between the
resin and ceramic sections. To eliminate potential on-site complications,
Granitifiandre is able to provide custom-made tiles at the customer’s
request.
To request this service, provide us with cutting diagrams and we will give
you an estimated cost and completion time.
For cuts that need to be made during installation, we recommend the
following instructions:
A) Use high-quality, diamond-tipped tools (cup or discs).
B) The cut must be made from resin side towards the back of the tile.
C) Grinder cutting: the grinder used must have an adjustable speed and a
CONTINUOUS diamond cutting wheel. Start with a low speed and
increase once the disc has penetrated the surface.
The cutting area must be COOLED with water during cutting.
D) Round wheel cutting: use a diamond-blade cutting wheel specifically
for porcelain stoneware. Start with a low speed and increase to a high
speed once the blade has penetrated the surface.

COUPE ET TROUS :
L’exécution d’une bonne coupe est très importante pour éviter un possible décollement entre la section en
résine et la section en céramique. Afin d’éliminer de possibles complications sur le chantier, si cela nous est
communiqué par avance, Granitifiandre peut vous fournir les dalles coupées sur mesure.
Dans ce cas, nous vous prions de nous fournir les dessins des coupes et nous vous communiquerons le coût et
le délai nécessaire à leur réalisation.
Dans le cas où les coupes devraient être réalisées pendant la phase d’installation, nous vous conseillons de
suivre les instructions reportées ci-dessous :
A) Utiliser des outils diamantés (cloche ou disques) de haute qualité.
B) La coupe doit être effectuée du côté de la résine vers l’arrière du carreau.
C) Coupe avec flexible : le flexible doit avoir une vitesse réglable, le disque doit être diamanté avec une
COURONNE CONTINUE. Il est nécessaire de maintenir une vitesse basse. Une fois que le disque a pénétré,
il est possible d’augmenter la vitesse. Pendant l’exécution, la zone de coupe doit être REFROIDIE avec de l’eau.
D) Coupe avec Cloche ronde : utiliser une cloche spéciale pour le grès porcelainé avec une lame diamantée.
La vitesse initiale doit être basse, puis quand la lame a pénétré, augmenter la vitesse jusqu’à atteindre une
vitesse élevée.
Il est nécessaire de REFROIDIR en vaporisant de l’eau pendant la coupe *

Nel caso vi preghiamo di fornirci i disegni dei tagli e vi comunicheremo costi e tempistiche per la loro
realizzazione.
Qualora i tagli dovessero essere realizzati in fase di installazione, consigliamo di seguire le avvertenze riportate
qui sotto:
A) Utilizzare utensili diamantati ( tazza o dischi ) di alta qualità
B) Il taglio deve essere eseguito dalla parte della resine verso il retro della piastrella .
C) Taglio con flessibile : il flessibile deve avere la velocità regolabile , il disco deve essere diamantato a CORONA
CONTINUA. E’ necessario tenere una velocità bassa e una volta penetrato il disco si può aumentare la
velocità., Durante la lavorazione l’area di taglio deve essere REFRIGERATA con acqua .
D) Taglio con Tazza rotonda : utilizzare una tazza specifica per gres porcellanato con lama diamantata , velocità
iniziale bassa ed una volta penetrata la lama aumentare la velocità fino a raggiungere una velocità alta.
E’ necessario REFRIGERARE spruzzando acqua durante il taglio *

GENERAL OBSERVATIONS
WHEN CARRYING AND STORING THE PRODUCT, IT IS ADVISABLE
TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
Transportation
While transporting the product, always use fl at and stable packing cases,
securing the panels so to avoid slipping.
When loading or offl oading, avoid sliding the panels on one another: lift
them using a suction lifter.
Storage
Storing the product in the wrong way or place can lead to deformations,
resin detachments or superfi cial marks which may become permanent.
Store the panels in a closed room at standard climate conditions at a
temperature between 0 °C and 50 °C.
Use
It is not advisable to use on outdoor surfaces and on floorboards.
Instructions on how to lay the material
- To lay the material, you can use any glue recommended for porcelain
stoneware.
- Do not remove the protective fi lm while laying, to avoid scratching the
corners on the tiles with the plaster.
- Remove the protective fi lm only once the laying is complete.
Maintenance and cleaning
- To clean the material, only use PH neutral cleaning products (Marseilles
soap) and a soft fl annel with no metal or abrasive side.
- For extraordinary maintenance, use 95% pure alcohol.
- We advise against using acidic PH detergents because the slab could
lose its natural shine.

Транспортировка
При транспортировке изделия, всегда используйте плоские и
устойчивые ящики для упаковки, закрепляя панели так, чтобы не
допустить скольжения. При загрузке или разгрузке, не допускайте
скольжения панелей друг по другу: поднимайте их с помощью
пневматического подъемного устройства.
Хранение
Хранение продукции несоответствующим образом или в
несоответствующем месте может привести к образованию
деформаций, отделению смолистых веществ или появлению
поверхностных отметин, которые могут остаться навсегда.
Храните панели в закрытом помещении в стандартных
климатических условиях при температуре от 0 °C до 50 °C.
Применение
Не рекомендуется применять на поверхностях вне помещения и на
половых досках.
Инструкции по укладке материала
- При укладке материала, можно использовать любой клей,
рекомендованный для керамогранита.
- При укладке не снимайте защитную пленку, чтобы не допустить
образования царапин на плитках от штукатурки.
- Снимите защитную пленку только после того, как укладка будет

Техническое обслуживание и очистка
- Чтобы очистить материал, используйте только чистящие средства с нейтральным PH (марсельское
мыло) и мягкую фланель без металлической или абразивной стороны.
- Для проведения чрезвычайного технического обслуживания, используйте чистый 95% спирт.
- Мы не рекомендуем использовать чистящие средства с кислотным РН, потому что плита может
утратить свой природный блеск.
VOICI QUELQUES CONSEILS À SUIVRE POUR LE TRANSPORT ET LE STOCKAGE :
Transport
Pendant le transport, utilisez toujours des caisses plates et stables et fi xez les panneaux pour éviter les
glissements.
Pendant le chargement/déchargement, les panneaux ne doivent pas coulisser les uns sur les autres. Soulevez-
les à l’aide d’un élévateur à ventouse.
Stockage
Une mauvaise position ou un lieu de stockage non approprié peut occasionner des déformations, un
détachement de la résine ou des traces superfi cielles parfois permanentes. Stockez les panneaux dans un
endroit clos qui assure des conditions climatiques normales, à une température comprise entre 0°C et 50°C.
Utilisation
L’utilisation extérieure et la pose au sol sont déconseillées.
Instructions pour la pose
- Pour la pose du matériau, vous pouvez utiliser une colle ordinaire pour grès cérame.
- Pour ne pas rayer les bords avec le produit de jointoiement, évitez de retirer le fi lm de protection pendant la pose.
- Ne retirez le fi lm de protection que lorsque la pose est terminée.
Entretien
- Pour l’entretien, utilisez exclusivement des produits au Ph neutre (savon de Marseille) et un chiffon doux, sans
métal ni rugosités.
- Pour les nettoyages exceptionnels, vous pouvez utiliser de l’alcool pur à 95%.
- Il est absolument déconseillé d’utiliser des détergents ayant un Ph acide, car la dalle pourrait perdre son éclat
d’origine.

Trasporto
Durante il trasporto utilizzare sempre casse piane e stabili assicurando i pannelli contro lo scivolamento.
Nelle operazioni di carico e scarico evitare che i pannelli scorrano l’uno sull’altro; sollevarli mediante sollevatore a
ventosa.
Stoccaggio
Una posizione errata o un luogo non idoneo durante lo stoccaggio può produrre deformazioni, distaccamento
della resina o segni superfi ciali a volte permanenti. Immagazzinare i pannelli in locali chiusi che garantiscono
condizioni climatiche normali, a una temperatura compresa tra i 0°C e 50°C.
Utilizzo
È sconsigliato l’uso in esterno e la posa a pavimento.
Istruzioni per la posa
- Per posare il materiale si può utilizzare una normale colla per gres porcellanato.
- Non togliere la pellicola protettiva durante la posa, al fine di non graffiare i bordi con lo stucco della fuga.
- Rimuovere la pellicola protettiva solo a posa ultimata.
Cura e pulizia
- Per la pulizia si possono utilizzare solo prodotti con Ph neutro (sapone di Marsiglia) e un panno morbido, senza
parti ruvide o di metallo.
- Per pulizie straordinarie è possibile utilizzare alcool puro al 95%.
- È assolutamente sconsigliato l’utilizzo di detergenti con Ph acido, in quanto la lastra potrebbe perdere la
brillantezza originale.
