The document outlines a pre-production plan for a video about Island School. It will include establishing shots of the school grounds, interviews with a teacher in the drama room, and credits. Tanya will edit the video and the author will be the cinematographer. Shooting locations include the green area, swimming pool, and drama room, where interviews will take place. Equipment needed includes a tripod, video camera, chair, lighting, and external microphone. Reshooting can occur on alternate days if weather prevents outdoor filming, and alternate indoor locations are available if the drama room is booked.
The studio at Falmouth University had good lighting facilities and equipment which was useful for filming. As the actress attends the university and studies photography, she knew how to operate the equipment. They planned green and red contrasting lighting, using colored gels over the lights. By adjusting the light strength, different shadows and amounts of each color on the actress could be created until a good combination was found. The studio included speakers and a TV that played the song and displayed lyrics to help with accurate lip syncing during filming.
The document describes Aldo Cibic's workshop titled "The green village on the edge of the city" held in November 2009 at the Politecnico di Milano. It outlines an approach to selecting a target group of weekend farmers, providing them temporary housing, and arranging the space. The goal is to create a poetic environment that identifies basic needs for cabins, stimulates social interaction and outdoor activities, and integrates contemporary structures into a natural setting.
The document provides instructions for creating a stop motion video by photographing toys or objects and editing the photos together with added text, voices, and music using video editing software like iMovie or Windows Movie Maker. It also mentions that the photographed toys can be inserted into a PowerPoint presentation. The document is credited to Jeremy & Renee and is from Brookby School.
Jamie Mears is filming a music video at The Blandford School that will include both performance and narrative sections. The filming will take place in a drama studio and around the school grounds. Lighting equipment will need to be brought in as most locations rely on sunlight, which won't provide consistent lighting for the video.
To create their media product, the student used a range of Apple Mac programs like Final Cut Express to plan, edit, and create their sequence. They learned many new skills in editing footage, adding soundtracks and titles, and feel confident in using these programs. The student also used different media like Prezi and Tumblr to present their blog and research and become familiar with various internet applications.
The document summarizes the process of creating a preliminary exercise and final film for a college course. For the preliminary, the students experimented with techniques like match-on-action, 180 degree rule, and shot/reverse shot to create continuity. Their final film built on these skills with more confidence, incorporating new techniques like cross-cutting and incorporating location shots at a park and college studio to establish mood. Both works emphasized practicing film techniques and storytelling through camerawork, editing, and sound design.
1) The preliminary exercise allowed the students to experiment with camerawork and editing techniques to create continuity in their work. They applied techniques like match-on-action, 180 degree rule, and shot/reverse shot.
2) Their preliminary work focused on a dialogue scene between a young girl and a fortune teller. They worked on maintaining continuity through matching shots and avoiding crossing the 180 degree line.
3) For their final film, the students drew on what they learned from their preliminary work. They incorporated techniques like match-on-action and had more freedom to choose shots and develop the theme. They also applied new techniques like cross-cutting and POV shots.
The document discusses what was learned from a preliminary task to a full product. Specifically, it notes that the importance of sound in the horror genre was learned. A heartbeat sound was created by modifying the Jaws theme music to generate tension for the full product.

King Midas is granted a wish by Dionysus which results in everything he touches turning to gold, including his food and drink. This causes Midas considerable distress until he is able to cleanse himself of the power by washing in the river Pactolus. Dionysus lifts the curse and Midas learns that wealth is not the most important thing in life.

The document discusses an unlikely romantic pairing between two characters, Haman Karn and Judau Ashita, from an anime or manga. It suggests imagining Judau as Haman's personal slave who is whipped as a way to fulfill fetish interests rather than because it is a realistic or serious scenario.
Food waste in the United States accounts for 30-40% of the food supply and has negative impacts on food security, natural resources, and climate change. Wholesome food that is wasted could help feed families in need through food donations. Producing wasted food uses land, water, and other resources that could be better utilized. Food waste in landfills generates methane, a potent greenhouse gas. The U.S. Department of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Agency launched the U.S. Food Waste Challenge to encourage organizations to reduce, recover, and recycle food waste to help address these issues.
This document lists various children's and family programs taking place at libraries in St. George and Summerville during the summer. These include story times, an astronomer meet and greet, aquarium robot demonstrations, a Lego club, an exhibit on the universe, and tie dye crafts. It also notes the winners of the adult summer reading program for the month of June in St. George and Summerville libraries.

4. Location
Since this video is for potential Island School
students I decided that it would be a good
idea to showcase the school a bit therefore
there will be establishing shots of the green
area, the swimming pool and the school as a
whole. However, the interviewing will take
place in a drama room.
6. In the previous slide you can see that mostly
high angle-shots and panoramic shots are
used. So, I think I will shoot the beginning
(establishing shot) using high-angle shots,
wide shots and panoramic shots. These shots
positively showcases the school therefore are
good shots to use in the video.
7. However, the actual interviews have to take
place in a room and in my opinion the best
room/(s) to film the interviews would be the
drama rooms. I think this because they have a
good lighting system and they were obviously
built to have performances taking place in
them.

10. Contingency Planning
Since we have a lot of time; if the weather does not
permit us to film on a certain day, we can film
when the weather is good. (To showcase the
school)
Since we are filming the interviews indoors the
weather should not be a problem, and we can
carry on shooting! However, if the drama rooms
are not free, we can film in a regular class room
or even film after school if we cant during break
time.
