May 12, 2008 : Beichuan, Sichuan 7.8 magnitude earthquake during day time
Many people died in crumbled buildings!
People perished without saying good-bye!
Relatives cry over the body of a young girl lying on a door used as a make-shift stretcher
Bridges were collapsed!
Roads were buckled!
Historical buildings were destroyed!
Foundations were collapsed!
It was once a home!
It was once a shopping place!
People lost all their properties and savings!
It was once a school full of students!
The collapsed debris silent their cry! This lively school is now a burial site of many children!
People are still searching for students in this collapsed school !
Who hears our cry for our dead teachers & students?
Who can take care of my family when I am gone?
Who can free me when I am trapped?
Who can comfort me when I only have this one child?
A 76-year-woman waits to be rescued from her apartment in a damaged building.
After the earthquake they have no home, school or office to return to! People are homeless!
Pain and injury show no age or ethnic differences! Street is now the hospital!
A rescuer helps a trapped student out of the debris at Wudu Primary school on the outskirts of Mianzhu, Sichuan Who can give me a hand?
Do not just stand there! People are crying and hurting!
Who can help me? If you don’t care, who would?
Can you do something for the people in China? Be thankful that we have a home, family, peace and good health.
God, helps us to bear one another’s burden! Children are fainted!
Save a precious life!
What is left after this disaster? Property? It might be nothing left! But we still have the God given spirit to rebuild again.
Please pray for the rescue work!
Thank God a child was rescued!
What can we do?
