Maryland summit jhh 2015 how to live longer and better with lupuslupusdmv
Lupus is a chronic disease that people must learn to deal with their entire lives. Dealing with it successfully involves more than just taking medications. There are many important steps the people who have lupus should take in order to have a good quality of life and live longer. Dr. Thomas will discuss these important steps as well as explain why they are important to do on a regular basis.
A novel hierarchical ant based qos aware intelligent routing scheme for manetsIJCNCJournal
MANET is a collection of mobile devices with no centralized control and no pre-existing infrastructures.
Due to the nodal mobility, supporting QoS during routing in this type of networks is a very challenging
task. To tackle this type of overhead many routing algorithms with clustering approach have been
proposed. Clustering is an effective method for resource management regarding network performance,
routing protocol design, QoS etc. Most of the flat network architecture contains homogeneous capacity of
nodes but in real time nodes are with heterogeneous capacity and transmission power. Hierarchical
routing provides routing through this kind of heterogeneous nodes. Here, routes can be recorded
hierarchically, across clusters to increase routing flexibility. Besides this, it increases scalability and
robustness of routes. In this paper, a novel ant based QoS aware routing is proposed on a three level
hierarchical cluster based topology in MANET which will be more scalable and efficient compared to flat
architecture and will give better throughput.

Key management in information centric networkingIJCNCJournal
Information centric networking (ICN) has been in the spotlight of recent research. It is an emerging
communication paradigm that relays on the concept of publish and subscribe. It aims to revise the current
Internet with a new clean slate architecture where the design is completely different from today’s location
based model. To secure the forwarding plan in this network, it is vital to have a time based transient
forwarding identifiers by periodically changing the network link identifiers. This assumes shared keys to be
distributed prior the communications between an entity termed topology manager (TM) and each forwarder
in the network. Exchanging and sharing a secret key between two parties is one of most critical functions in
cryptography that needs to be more concerned when integrating cryptographic functions into the system. As
ICN is brand new Internet architecture, many existing cryptography protocols may need to be redesigned
to fit this new architecture. Therefore, this paper focuses on the security aspect of ICN and proposes an
initial design to deploy the integrated Diffie-Hellman-DSA key exchange protocol as a key distributions
mechanism.
Convergence tendency of genetic algorithms and artificial immune system in so...ijcsity
By the advances in the Evolution Algorithms (EAs) and the intelligent optimization metho
ds we witness the
big revolutions in solving the optimization problems. The application of the evolution algorithms are not
only not limited to the combined optimization problems, but also are vast in domain to the continuous
optimization problems. In this
paper we analyze and study the Genetic Algorithm (GA) and the Artificial
Immune System (AIS)
algorithm
which are capable in escaping the local optimization and also fastening
reaching the global optimization and to show the efficiency of the GA and AIS th
e application of them in
Solving Continuous Optimization Functions (SCOFs) are studied. Because of the multi variables and the
multi

dimensional spaces in SCOFs the use of the classic optimization methods, is generally non

efficient
and high cost. In other
words the use of the classic optimization methods for SCOFs generally leads to a
local optimized solution. A possible solution for SCOFs is to use the EAs which are high in probability of
succeeding reaching the local optimized solution. The results in pa
per show that GA is more efficient than
AIS in reaching the optimized solution in SCOFs.
A distributed ip based telecommunication system using sipIJCNCJournal
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technologies are integral to modern telecommunications because of
their advanced features, flexibility, and economic benefits. Internet Service Providers initially promoted
these technologies by providing low cost local and international calling. At present, there is also a great
deal of interest in using IP-based technologies to replace traditional small and large office telephone
systems that use traditional PBX’s (Private Branch eXchange). Unfortunately, the large majority of the
emerging VoIP based office telephone systems have followed the centralized design of traditional public
and private telephone systems in which all the intelligence in the system is at the core, with quite expensive
hardware and software components and appropriate redundancy for adequate levels of reliability. In this
paper, it is argued that a centralized model for an IP-based telecommunications system fails to exploit the
full capabilities of Internet-inspired communications and that, very simple, inexpensive, elegant and
flexible solutions are possible by deliberately avoiding the centralized approach. This paper describes the
design, philosophy and implementation of a prototype for a fully distributed IP-based Telecommunication
System (IPTS) that provides the essential feature set for office and home telecommunications, including IPbased
long-distance and local calling, and with the support for video as well as data and text. The
prototype system was implemented with an Internet-inspired distributed design using open source software,
with appropriate customizations and configurations.

Performance comparison of aodv and olsr using 802.11 a and dsrc (802.11p) pro...IJCNCJournal
A Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) is a network formed purely among vehicles without presence of any
communication infrastructure as base stations and/or access point. Frequent topological changes due to
high mobility is one of the main issues in VANETs. In this paper we evaluate Ad-hoc On-Demand Distance
Vector (AODV) and Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) routing protocols using 802.11a and 802.11p in
a realistic urban scenario. For this comparison, we chose five performance metrics: Path Availability, Endto-
End Delay, Number of Created Paths, Path Length and Path Duration. Simulation results show, that for
most of the metrics evaluated, OLSR outperforms AODV when 802.11p and that 802.11p is more efficient
in urban VANETs.
Priority scheduling for multipath video transmission in wmsnsIJCNCJournal
In video data transmission over Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs), in which network
congestion and link failures are main characteristics, providing Quality-of-Service (QoS) is challenging. In
such situation, using multipath routing protocols along with efficient packet scheduling can improve the
performance of video delivery over sensor networks. In this paper we propose a new packet scheduling
mechanism for multipath video transmission over WMSN. Since, different video frame types in a
compressed video stream have different impact on the perceived video at the receiver; our proposed
scheme for video packet scheduling is content aware that schedules transmission of different video packets
over different paths. For this purpose, condition of each routing path is periodically evaluated and the high
priority video packets are transmitted through high quality paths. Simulation results show that our
proposed scheduling improves the quality of the perceived video at the receiver, considerably.
