The document discusses research into developing dental composite fillings with improved mechanical properties and aesthetics. Five composite samples were tested with variations in polymer matrix composition, filler material and weight percentage, and use of solvents. Sample RET-27 served as the control with 61% titania filler and a BisGMA/TEGDMA matrix. RET-31, using multiple fillers and a solvent, performed poorly. RET-33 had the highest modulus but lowest strength, using a TEGMA/BPO matrix and 60% titania. RET-34 and RET-35 tested variations in matrix and filler percentage, showing the effects of these parameters on mechanical properties. The goal is to optimize a composite with performance comparable to natural
The document discusses the history and development of artificial intelligence over the past 70 years, from the earliest concepts to modern deep learning techniques. It outlines some of the key milestones in AI research, including the development of logic-based systems in the 1950s, expert systems in the 1980s, and recent advances in machine learning and neural networks that have enabled AI to perform complex tasks like image recognition and language translation.
This document is a media kit for Cannabis Today magazine, which aims to educate the public on the cannabis industry through a quarterly print magazine and monthly online resources. It provides information on who they are, their large readership and prominent placements, and advertising opportunities. The magazine will reach over 10,000 readers in its premiere issue and be distributed to businesses and a large freedom of speech event. It offers various sized print and digital ad packages that businesses can purchase to reach this audience. The goal is for the magazine to become a leading source of information on the cannabis industry in the US.
The document provides step-by-step instructions for tying a tie knot. It begins by buttoning a shirt and lifting the collar. The instructions then guide the reader to wrap the tie around the neck and cross one end over the other. Multiple steps involve passing the wider end of the tie through loops and underneath the slimmer end to create and tighten the knot. Once tightened, the collar is flipped down and the knot is complete.
The document discusses exploring different solvents to increase the volume percentage of titania filler in a dental composite polymer matrix. Three solvents - acetone, acetic acid, and isopropyl alcohol - were tested. Samples with 60% and 70% filler by weight were attempted. None of the 70% samples survived curing. The acetone samples appeared most uniform with little porosity while acetic acid performed worst, failing to properly disperse the filler. More investigation is needed to reduce titania agglomeration during silanization and allow higher filler percentages.

1) The document examines the repatriation of Guatemalan refugees who fled during the country's civil war and genocide in the 1980s. It discusses two perspectives on how displacement impacts social solidarity.
2) One perspective argues displacement undermines solidarity, while another cites the Guatemalan case where refugees organized and negotiated their return, achieving concessions.
3) The author aims to analyze factors enabling Guatemalan refugees' political education and independence to inform solutions to increasing displacement crises.
This project aimed to maximize the ceramic filler content in a dental composite material by testing different diluents. The student tested acetic acid, isopropyl alcohol, and acetone as diluents to increase the titanium dioxide filler percentage beyond 60% by weight. Acetone performed the best but none enabled reaching the 80% goal. Mechanical properties were measured and while some samples showed potential, results were inconsistent. The new silane and ineffective solvent removal were hypothesized to limit performance. Future work could optimize silane amount, test solvent mixtures, and identify better evaporating protic solvents.
The document provides an agenda for a youth training session hosted by Jo Birch-Phaure. It includes:
- Introductions of 11 participants from the UK, Kenya, Palestine, Nigeria, and Egypt.
- An overview of the day's aim to introduce UK Youth and discuss social action.
- The scheduled program of introductions, defining social action, and experiences with social action.
- Participants share their definitions of social action, which center around community improvement, positive change, and citizens working together.
- Recommendations are provided for three icebreaker games that could be used at the event: Doggy Doggy Who's Got Your Bone?, Mingle Mingle Mingle
Internet Service Providers (ISP's) zijn 'van oudsher' de spin in het web. Ze zijn de schakel tussen ontwikkelaar en klant en vormen de brug van commercie naar technologie. The document outlines the key components of communication: a sender encodes a message and sends it through a channel to a receiver. The receiver then decodes the message and can provide feedback to the sender. Effective communication requires properly encoding the message for the audience, using an appropriate channel, and understanding the context in which the communication takes place.
The document summarizes several theories of motivation that were covered in a training course attended by the author in Romania. It discusses Maslow's hierarchy of needs, McGregor's Theory X and Theory Y, McClelland's three needs theory focusing on achievement, power and affiliation. It also outlines Herzberg's two-factor theory distinguishing between motivators and hygiene factors. Finally, it describes Tamara Law's DNA theory of motivation which proposes that individuals are uniquely motivated based on their drives, needs and preferred awards or recognition. The document encourages identifying one's own motivational type using Law's 25 question assessment tool.

Gen Z and the marketplaces - let's translate their needsLaura Szabó
The product workshop focused on exploring the requirements of Generation Z in relation to marketplace dynamics. We delved into their specific needs, examined the specifics in their shopping preferences, and analyzed their preferred methods for accessing information and making purchases within a marketplace. Through the study of real-life cases , we tried to gain valuable insights into enhancing the marketplace experience for Generation Z.
The workshop was held on the DMA Conference in Vienna June 2024.
