Oasis is a British rock band formed in 1991 in Manchester, originally known as The Rain. The band was formed by Liam Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan and Tony McCarroll, and was later joined by Liam's brother Noel Gallagher. Oasis is known for albums such as Definitely Maybe, (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, and Don't Believe the Truth. They have received awards from NME, Brit Awards, Q Awards, and MTV Europe Music Awards.
