Onika Tanya Maraj, més coneguda per el seu nom artístic Nicki
Minaj, va néixer a Port-or-Spain el 8 de desembre de 1982.
Es productora musical i cantant de rap i hip-hop
estatunidenca d’origen trinitari. Es coneguda per haver
treballat amb artistes de renom David Guetta, Chris Brown,
Madonna entre altres.

4. Vida personal
La seva infància no va ser fàcil. El seu pare era alcohòlic i
drogoaddicte, i un cop va intentar matar a la seva mare en
incendiar la casa.
Va tocar el clarinet a la Elizabeth Blackwell Middle School 210 i
es va graduar a LaGuardia High School. Desprès es va
especialitzar en música i arts plàstics.
L’abril de 2007 va treure el seu primer mixtape: Playtime is
over. En la portada apareix com una nina Barbie.
