We asked this years Arrangements Committee some questions about this years event – here are some of their answers
What inspires you about this years theme?
Gaining inspiration from others Exploring Quakerism Exploring ourselves as Quakers It’s very relevant for me as I don’t know who I am or where I’m going… You can learn about yourself and how you live The continued momentum and feeling of returning to our radical roots Looking at our past and taking action
What did you gain from attending JYM last year?
Confidence & happiness, and an understanding of the theme. A huge spiritual journey and a sense of community A sense of being a part of Quakerism… not just a Quaker Friends and connections A real sense of belonging: not just being a Quaker but being part of Quakerism
The thing I most look forward to at a Quaker event is…
Meeting old friends and new… Being with other Quakers Feeling at ease Exploring the theme Acceptance
