POOR LISTENING STYLES
BY: MIKAYLA OVERTON
Spacing out
• When someone is talking but
you just wander off to another
galaxy
• Most people just end up spacing
out and just sit there
Selective listening
• When someone only hears the part
of the conversation
• Or hears one word and try's to use it
to fill them in; “army” “Oh yeah the
army! I’ve been thinking a a lot
about it lately”
Word listening
• When people pay attention
to the words not the body
language
self-centered listening
• When you assume they feel
the same way or things like
that because you feel the
way you think they feel

Poor listening styles.
