The Education Policy and Law Lab at the University of Kentucky brings together scholars, practitioners, and community stakeholders to identify and address critical education policy issues in Kentucky. The Lab provides research and policy recommendations to improve education in public schools and higher education. An advisory council guides the Lab's work and is composed of members from across the P-20 education community. Upcoming projects will examine issues like charter schools, teacher compensation, and dual enrollment programs.

Purpose The Education Policy and Law Lab exists to: bring together a diverse group of scholars, practitioners, and community stakeholders from organizations and agencies across the commonwealth to identify and address critical educational policy issues in Kentucky; provide timely, rigorous, and non-partisan education policy information and research; and make recommendations for the improvement of education policy, practice, and leadership in Kentucky’s public schools and higher education institutions

Lab Advisory Council The Lab’s work will be guided by input from an education policy advisory council Council members will be chosen from the P20 Kentucky education community, includingparents, teachers, administrators, researchers, government officials, and representatives of the higher education community
