The Reserve Bank of India is developing a plan to replace paper currency with plastic or polymer notes to improve security, reliability and reduce illicit money. The plastic notes are expected to launch in 2015 initially in five cities for testing, as they are more durable and resistant to damage from moisture, tears and dirt compared to paper. If successful, the plastic currency could significantly increase the lifespan of notes.

published and will issued initially to five cities Coacchi, Maisur, Jaipur , Bhuvneshwar And Shimla for
checking different whether affects on that currency however currency published is low in amount
initially . Benefits of plastic money is they are high resistance againstance Smear ,tear and split .
However many countries like Australia, Brunai , Papua New Guinea and couple of more uses plastic
currency .
