SUMMARY VISIONand
The Places Left Behind reveals the little-known but
significant assets of hidden lands and cultures on the
edge of extinction. It shines a light on the miraculous
history and present-day marvels of environments
that have somehow avoided the hand of encroaching
“civilization”. We dwell among the trees, tribes, and
wildlife as they strive to maintain continuity between
the past and present. We explore the stories of these
mosaics, and try to understand why they have
resisted the juggernaut of development and change,
and why such places are important to the future of
our planet.
We highlight the magic and wonder of diversity. Our
goal is to provide an understanding of why these
threatened areas are so special and so worth
preserving. We believe the television series, and
associated campaign, will be more potent,
authoritative and persuasive than any media to
date. The resulting media will be editorially
authoritative, accessible, inspiring, relevant, global
and evergreen. The series will have a broad reach
to the most qualified audience in the world. It will
honor the origins of the earth, the evolution of
animals and plants beyond political borders, The
Family of Man, the common moments of birth,
marriage, and death, the distinctive music and art,
and the great celebrations, ceremonies, rituals and
festivals that everyone in the world, no matter how
removed, enjoys.
White Nile Media will create thirteen inspirational,
compelling television 1/2 hour specials showcasing the
last of the great untouched places on earth. The shows will
be targeted to the most qualified audiences; evergreen in
nature; and distributed broadly on multiple platforms.

villages and haunts, and be inspired

will shape the world’s perceptions of

Poetry wrapped in beauty and
adventure, too often hidden away
around the corners of our minds,
between the seconds of our lives. This
series will chronicle the stunning and
extravagant Places Left Behind, the
secret corners of the world. It will key a
quest for understanding and
preservation; a celebration of pluck and
mettle, of renewal and vitality in a time
when it is perhaps desired most. We will
explore the far ends of the earth, where
these last unscathed living things dwell.
We’ll visit the many natural marvels,
explore the hidden treasures, unearth
the nooks and crannies of wonder,
experience the sunrises and sunsets,
savor the surfeit of flavors, and fire the
songs of our planet as it once was.
We will inspire viewers to reignite and
redefine the human spirit in their own
lives through a visit to the integrity
and pureness of undeveloped places.
We’ll unveil the spectacular assets of
each place, the gardens, the clear,
clean rivers, and the healing powers
of pure environments.

We will explore the living spirits,
celebrate all that surrounds these
pristine coves and crannies,
showcase the little-known forests
and rivers, the fertile landscapes, and
most importantly, the way the people
of these far-away lands honor their
heritage and traditions.
We will tell the stories of isolated
peoples through their own eyes, and
reveal why a sense of contentedness
and place, of beauty and laughter, has
endured through time.
We will explore how the breakdown in
our links to Nature pose a genuine
threat to humanity. Through rapid
urbanization we have lost touch with
the wilderness, animals and plants
that represent the very essence of life
on earth. We may know how to
subjugate Nature, but we easily
forget that we depend upon it for our
very survival.

  • 4. SUMMARY VISIONand The Places Left Behind reveals the little-known but significant assets of hidden lands and cultures on the edge of extinction. It shines a light on the miraculous history and present-day marvels of environments that have somehow avoided the hand of encroaching “civilization”. We dwell among the trees, tribes, and wildlife as they strive to maintain continuity between the past and present. We explore the stories of these mosaics, and try to understand why they have resisted the juggernaut of development and change, and why such places are important to the future of our planet. We highlight the magic and wonder of diversity. Our goal is to provide an understanding of why these threatened areas are so special and so worth preserving. We believe the television series, and associated campaign, will be more potent, authoritative and persuasive than any media to date. The resulting media will be editorially authoritative, accessible, inspiring, relevant, global and evergreen. The series will have a broad reach to the most qualified audience in the world. It will honor the origins of the earth, the evolution of animals and plants beyond political borders, The Family of Man, the common moments of birth, marriage, and death, the distinctive music and art, and the great celebrations, ceremonies, rituals and festivals that everyone in the world, no matter how removed, enjoys.

  • 6. What is it? We will weave the unforgettable stories; embrace the unfamiliar customs, and taste old traditions; we’ll discovery the sanctuaries of peoples removed from the pace of civilization. We’ll reverse time in villages and haunts, and be inspired by distinctive environments. And we will shape the world’s perceptions of The Places Left Behind. Poetry wrapped in beauty and adventure, too often hidden away around the corners of our minds, between the seconds of our lives. This series will chronicle the stunning and extravagant Places Left Behind, the secret corners of the world. It will key a quest for understanding and preservation; a celebration of pluck and mettle, of renewal and vitality in a time when it is perhaps desired most. We will explore the far ends of the earth, where these last unscathed living things dwell. We’ll visit the many natural marvels, explore the hidden treasures, unearth the nooks and crannies of wonder, experience the sunrises and sunsets, savor the surfeit of flavors, and fire the songs of our planet as it once was. We will inspire viewers to reignite and redefine the human spirit in their own lives through a visit to the integrity and pureness of undeveloped places. We’ll unveil the spectacular assets of each place, the gardens, the clear, clean rivers, and the healing powers of pure environments. PLACES BEHIND LEFT !6

We will tell the stories of isolated peoples through their own eyes, and reveal why a sense of contentedness and place, of beauty and laughter, has endured through time. We will explore how the breakdown in our links to Nature pose a genuine threat to humanity. Through rapid urbanization we have lost touch with the wilderness, animals and plants that represent the very essence of life on earth.
