 Each character to have something unique about their personality.
 Harriet the main character, she is outgoing but can be easily betrayed. This will
be evident throughout the narrative of our opening sequence.
 Abi, one of the girls in the friendship group is portrayed as being dumb and
slightly naive. We aim to do this by showing her constantly making witty
comments as well as having clumsy characteristics.
 Lastly, Georgia the other friend is horrible, who the girls like to label her ‘The
Bitch’. However, they remain friends with her after all they have been through
together. Her nasty persona will be connoted throughout her mean comments
about other students and towards the other characters

>We would like to create an intense, intriguing atmosphere
within the opening sequence. In order to do this, we will use
accompaniment of different styles to match the narrative and
set the correct atmosphere.
>For example, if the footage is showing an exciting, joyful
moment there will be upbeat, enjoyable music playing
alongside it. However, at a more shocking moment, there
would be dramatic music to engage the audience.

The film opening will be set in two main
places. Firstly, the main character Harriet’s
house (Castlefield House), as well as the
college premises, using the corridors and
the seating area upstairs in the Priory
building.
The props our film opening requires are:
a bed, mobile phones,
sweets&chocolate, school bags, makeup
products, tv remote.

We are going to use high-key lighting throughout the film
opening in order to show the time of day. During a scene
inside of the Castlefield house, it will be low-key lighting
to set a contrasted mood.
All of the characters will have natural looking makeup and
everyday college outfits. However, in one scene Harriet will
have scruffy makeup, and baggy clothing.
Abi will always carry a confused expression with Georgia always having a disgusted
look upon her face. Harriet will always stand in the middle of he three friends when
walking around school.

We have been influenced by other teen dramas such as:
- The Duff
- LOL
- Angus thongs and perfect snogging
We have been inspired by these because they interest us (the target
Audience). From watching each opening sequence we were engaged and wanted to
use these functions in our opening sequence.
From LOL we liked the slow motion of the girls walking into school and the establishi
ng shot as this inspired the idea of where our opening would be set.
The duff we were inspired by the introduction of the characters and how the social m
edia played a part in the opening and throughout the film.
Angus thongs and perfect snogging influenced us by the voice over as we
saw the main characters feelings.

a successful opening sequence matched to the
