2. The UHLC Pre-Law Pipeline Program
The UHLC Pre-Law Pipeline Program is a preparatory program specifically designed
to provide resources to undergraduate students who are first generation, low income,
or members of groups underrepresented in the legal profession who are interested in
pursuing a career in law. Generously supported by the University of Houston Provost’s
Office, this Program aims to equip these students holistically so that they are fully
prepared to meet the demands of the LSAT exam, the law school application process,
and their law school career.
This six-week residential program will be held primarily at the University of Houston
Law Center during the summer months, with internship locations within the Houston
metro area and environs. Due to the rigorous nature of the program, all accepted
students will be expected to participate on a full-time basis and may not be employed
during the traditional work week (Monday- Friday).

3. Program dates: June 1 - July 10, 2015
Accepted students will participate in two weeks of introductory law school classes
taught by law school faculty, two weeks of a logic-games intensive LSAT prep
course and two weeks of either judicial or non-judicial internships.
Additionally, the UHLC Pre-Law Pipeline Program has a host of professional
development workshops geared towards preparing its students for networking
and internship opportunities and to generally improve the caliber of the student’s
academic career. Included in these workshops are speaker sessions with members
of the legal community, introductory legal research methods, and effective study
and networking techniques.

Curriculum
This Program welcomes all undergraduate students who are first generation, low
income, or members of groups underrepresented in the legal profession with
a genuine interest in attending law school and pursuing a legal career. To be
considered for the Program, students must also hold a cumulative grade point
average of 3.0 or better and must have completed 45-75 college credits by June of
the year that the student is applying for admission to the Program.

all materials is March 15, 2015. Applications received after March 15 will be reviewed
on a space-availability basis.
Application
Program Fee: $499
Need-based scholarships may be available to students accepted to the Program. To
be considered for scholarships, students must submit proof of financial need with
