3. About the album The Dark Side of the Moon
The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by English rock band Pink Floyd. It
was released in March 1973. In October 2010, EMI Records reissued a remastered
version of the album as part of its “Why Pink Floyd?” campaign which re-released most
of Pink Floyd’s catalog. The remastering engineer was James Guthrie and he used an
updated digital remastering process that produces better sound quality than previous
processes done with analog equipment.

The album art is also very abstract and surreal. It shows a cool night sky with stars, but
it isn’t clear if they’re all there. The moon appears within a blue circle, but I don’t think
that’s what it really is. It makes me think that everything is just made up, like there are no
real things in this world. The background gives off a kind of surreal glow which
represents how crazy David Gilmour must be feeling when he’s going round and round
on his spindly legs because he can’t get off the ground.

7. About Album Animal
The Animals is a concept album that tells the story of urban working-class living with
animals as companions for humans by depicting them through word painting and sound
effects. This album was inspired by British writer George Orwell’s Animal Farm which
first appeared in 1945. The album title was taken from the 32-year-old hit single “House
of the Rising Sun”.
The concept revolves around a man, called “Pigs”, who lives with several animals. The
first song, “Pigs on the Wing” is a snapshot of his life interrupted by feelings of doubt,
anger and confusion.

It was the fourth biggest-selling album in the U.S. in 1983, only second to Michael
Jackson’s Thriller. The most notable cut on the album is The Gunner’s Dream. This song
