- 2. Pink Pig Cakes I chose to use this image because the colour and shimmer of the icing gives an interesting edge to the images giving the viewer various different focal points, the gold background also emphasizes the pink of the cakes
- 3. I chose this image as an example of Parr’s work because the two children fit the stereotype of a British holiday or summer perfectly, they are both eating ice creams wearing summer clothing which makes them standout in front of the grey, gloomy seaside behind them. The children also look rather withdrawn adding deeper meaning to the image.
- 4. This is my favourite Martin Parr image, it shows various people posing for different shots of them “holding” up the leaning tower of Pisa. It captures the pleasure and happiness of people on their holidays and makes the viewer smile.
- 5. I lastly chose this image as it’s also along the theme of holidays, this image shows a woman wearing her holiday clothes (sunglasses and a scarf) who’s posing for a holiday snap. The thing I like best about this image is the fact that as she’s gotten closer the camera has focused on the seaside background rather then her giving various focal points
- 6. My interpretation I looked at some of Martin’s shot and tried to recreate a few, the result is as follows . Some of the photos I took are based on images that aren’t in my power point.
