Philippe Kahn is an inventor and entrepreneur who founded several influential technology companies. He studied math and music in college and developed early software for PCs. He founded Borland in 1982 and developed popular software like Turbo Pascal and Sidekick. In 1994 he cofounded Starfish Software which developed technologies for wireless device synchronization. He then cofounded Lightsurf Technologies in 1998 and created the first camera phone and software for electronic photography. Currently he is the CEO of Fullpower Technologies which created Motion-X technology. Kahn's development of the first camera phone helped launch the era of mobile photography and social media sharing on a global scale.
