And it begins to count the months, the days it must wait before the spirit
returns and complete life can begin again.
3. No one remembers what are the needs or command or desire that drove
Petalling Streets’s founder to give their form. All we know is that the as the
undecipherable streetscape grows, this had caused the original shop house to
lost their stands in this street as they are being pushed more and more back.
4. As time marches on, the streets start to be filled by all sorts of stalls. Eventually what’s
only left for the visitors are the pathway.
Like Thin Cities, so often that we focus on the small things, we started to forgot the big
picture. We knew that the changes are taking place; from an empty street and
becomes a street filled with stalls with only a pathway that fit a person at a time. We
often forgot to predict what will happens next.
5. On all sides, there will be stalls as far as the city extends, and no farther. The
boarder shows that the Petalling streets is buried in a land of stalls that sells all
sort of stuff from food stalls to counterfeit goods. The stalls lived in a situation
where they themselves know the stalls will last only so long.
6. Ultimately contrast to the situation at the street, the very foundation that
is keeping the street alive was the roof of Petalling Street. Little do we
know that it is a roof that acted as a support and a passage, for both
visitors and workers. Yet it received the least compliment for keeping the
place alive.
