In the recently concluded PLAI-STRLC forum on Continuing Professional Education for Librarians held
last April18, 2007 at Lyceum of Batangas with Prof. Corazon M. Nera as speaker, your powerpoint
material on "A review of existing standards in Philippine Libraries” by Mam Elnora Conti and
“Guidelines and procedures for the implementation of continuing professional education (CPE) programs
for librarians” by Mam Elizabeth Peralejo were mentioned and printed copies given to the participants.
In connection with this, may we ask your kind permission to allow us to post the said powerpoint
presentation in the PLAI-STRLC blog http://plaistrlc.blogspot.com in a slideshare format (to see sample
of STRLC slideshare post at http://plaistrlc.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html for the information of
all interested librarians in Region IV not able to attend said forum in particular and the other librarians in
the country/abroad who are loyal readers of the PLAI-STRLC blog.
We hope by posting said materials on the blog, we will be able to reach more librarians to benefit from the
timely information contained in the presentation. If said materials were previously presented in another
fora or seminar-workshop, we will be more than glad to edit the 1st slide to add this information.
