1.Disable TaskScheduler
a. Search for Task Scheduler in Window Search
b. Under Task Scheduler (Local)
c. Go to Task Scheduler Library => Microsoft => Windows => UpdateOrchestrator and
disable all below:
- UpdateAssistantCalendarRun
- UpdateAssistantWakeupRun
- UpdateAssistantWakeupRun
2.Remove Windows 10 Update Assistant
a. Open Run box and type appwiz.cpl then hit Enter key.
b. Uninstall Windows 10 Update Assistant
3.Stop and Disable Windows Update Service
a. From the Run box, input services.msc then hit Enter key.
b. Find Windows Update and set it to
- Startup type: Disabled
- Service status: Stopped
