PDHPE aims to encourage children to be physically active and develop individually, while fostering a healthy lifestyle and safety. It involves school PDHPE classes, playing sports, and daily physical activity. Students learn about nutrition, choosing healthy over unhealthy foods, and developing healthy eating habits. PDHPE also teaches road, personal, and school/playground safety. The overall goals are to have fun, enjoy an active lifestyle, stay healthy, live safely, respect others, and value oneself.
