Pavel Bure was a famous Russian hockey player born in 1971 in Minsk to Olympic swimmer parents. He began playing hockey at age 6 for CSKA Moscow and made his professional debut in 1988. Over his career Pavel Bure played in the NHL for several teams, winning silver at the 1998 Olympics and bronze in 2002. He was also a world champion in 1990 and led the NHL in goals several seasons. Bure married in 2009 and was inducted into the International Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in 2012.
