TEDx Cluj is the replication of the TED concept at
local level. The program is aiming to bring together
fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged
to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes or less)
and stimulate thought provoking dialogues among
the audience.

TED is a non-profit devoted to Ideas Worth
Spreading. Because ideas have the power to
change attitudes, lives and, ultimately the world. It
started out in 1984 as a conference bringing
together people from three worlds: Technology,
Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has
become ever broader covering a set of topics
including science, arts and design, politics,
education, culture, sport, business, global issues,

It’s about bringing together passionate people and
encouraging them to share ideas and
bring them to life.
In 2009 TED launched the TEDx series.
Starting with 2010 Cluj has been part of the programme
with the development of TEDxCluj.
The TEDxCluj conferences and events are held annually in the
multicultural region of Transylvania, Romania, gathering more
than 1500 participants in the space of 3 years.
We're building a clearinghouse that offers free knowledge and
inspiration from our local/regional most inspired thinkers, and
also a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and with
each other.
We passionately believe in the power of ideas to change
attitudes,lives and ultimately, our community.
