The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs is an Indian government ministry. It handles affairs relating to the Parliament, and works as a link between the two chambers.

3. The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs holds cabinet rank as a member of
the Council of Ministers.

4. In May 2015, the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh effected a reshuffle
in his council of ministers with the induction of three new faces in his cabinet,
withdrawing the health and family welfare department from Amar Agrawal.

5. Panchayat and Rural Development and Parliamentary Affairs Minister
Ajay Chandrakar has been given the charge of Health, Family Welfare
and Medical Education which was earlier with Amar Agrawal.

6. Similarly, Culture and Tourism portfolios have been shifted from
Ajay Chandrakar to the newly inducted minister Dayaldas Baghel
who will also handle the Co-operative.

7. The Parliamentary Ministry is dedicated for the implementation of the Policies,
Plans and Programmes in respect of services provided by the Members of the
Parliament to the Public more efficiently and effectively.

8. For fulfilling this objective, the ministry provides secular support,
material support and assistance for the Members enabling them to
deliver their service to the people of this country.

9. Mr. Chandrakar deals with salaries and allowances of officers of
Parliament and salary, allowances, and pensions of members of
Parliament, as well as for Leaders of the Opposition.
