2. Born 1977 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Indian American author and international relations expert. The director of the Global Governance Initiative of the American Strategy Program at the New America Foundation. His first book is entitled The Second World: Empires and Influence in the New Global Order and was published in March 2008.
3. Attended the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and FreieUniversitat Berlin. Majoring in international affairs and then earning a Master of Arts in Security Studies. Speaks German, Hindi, French, Spanish and basic Arabic.
4. Worked as an analyst for the Council on Foreign Relations, the World Economic Forum and the Brookings Institution. In 2007, he was a geopolitical advisor to the United States Special Operations Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is a member of the Board of Independent Diplomat.
5. Parag is a host of InnerView on MTV. He is on the Executive Committee of the Young Lions of New York Public Library. Parag has traveled in close to 100 countries, and is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the Explorers Club, and was honored in 2009 as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.
