Charles Plumb was a US Navy jet pilot in Vietnam who was shot down during a mission and captured. He was held as a prisoner of war for 6 years before being released. After the war, Plumb was eating in a restaurant when a man approached him and revealed that he had packed Plumb's parachute. Plumb realized that many people whose names and faces he didn't know helped ensure his survival. He encourages people to recognize those who provide unseen support that helps them through challenges.
