This document describes a single-column tensile testing machine designed to perform tensile strength tests on papers and tissues. It has a digital display, peak hold capability, auto-calibration features, and models available with capacities ranging from 1,000 to 50,000 grams. The machine measures breaking load with a fixed test speed of 25 mm/min and standard travel length of 300 mm. Optional modules include data acquisition, deflection measurement, and a finch cup adapter for wet tensile strength tests.
